Whim support

Whim is a business messaging app published by Unikong Co., Ltd. This page explains how to get help, answers the questions we're asked most, and tells you what to include so we can respond quickly.

Contact us

Email contact@unikong.ai with any question, bug report, or feedback. We answer during business hours in Bangkok (UTC+7) and aim to reply within one business day.

To help us help you faster, please include:

  • The platform you're using — iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, Linux, Android or web
  • The app version (Settings → About)
  • Your workspace address (for example chat.yourcompany.com)
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead

Please don't send passwords or verification codes — we never need them, and no one from Unikong will ask you for them.

Frequently asked questions

I've installed Whim. What do I enter as the workspace address?

Whim is a client for your organisation's own server, so there's no single address that works for everyone. Your workspace administrator gives you one — it looks like chat.yourcompany.com. Enter just that host name; you don't need to type https://, and Whim always connects securely. If you don't know your address, ask whoever manages IT or accounts at your organisation.

My organisation doesn't have a Whim workspace yet.

Whim needs a workspace before you can sign in. Email sales@unikong.ai and we'll walk you through setting one up.

How do I sign in?

Enter your workspace address, then your email address. Whim emails you a six-digit code — there's no password to remember. If your organisation uses single sign-on, you can instead choose your provider (Apple, Google, Microsoft, LINE, Facebook or WhatsApp) under or continue with. Only the providers your workspace has enabled are shown.

The sign-in code never arrived.

Check your spam folder first, and confirm the email address matches the one your administrator invited. Codes are short-lived, so request a fresh one rather than reusing an old email. If it still doesn't arrive, your administrator can confirm whether your account exists on the workspace — or email us and we'll help trace it.

Whim can't reach my workspace.

That message means the address couldn't be contacted, which is almost always a typo in the address or a server that isn't reachable from your network. Re-check the address with your administrator, and try again on a different network (for example mobile data instead of office Wi-Fi) to rule out a firewall.

Are my messages private?

Your messages live on the server your organisation runs, not on a Unikong-owned social platform, and Whim stores its local copy in a database encrypted on your device. See the privacy policy for the full detail of what is collected and why.

How do I delete my account?

Follow the steps on delete your account. You can do it from inside the app, or by email if you've already uninstalled it.

Which devices does Whim run on?

iPhone and iPad (iOS 16 and later), Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, and any modern browser. The same features are available everywhere, presented in each platform's own idiom.

Reporting a security issue
